The Parish Council has adopted a policy for the way it publishes information about its operations to the public.

Advertising
There are two Parish Council notice Boards in Huncote. One is in the bus stop on Narborough Road, while the other is on Denman Lane at the Community Centre. These are primarily used for advertising information from Huncote Parish Council, Blaby District Council and sometimes Leicestershire County Council.
Local organisations wishing to use these boards to advertise their events are requested to first contact the Clerk for approval. Any notices displayed without approval from the Clerk are subject to being removed without warning.

Allotments
The allotments in Huncote are organised and administered through the Huncote Allotment Association.

Ancient monuments
The penfold in the centre of Huncote was renovated by the Parish Council in 2008 and dates back hundreds of years.

Animal fouling
Please contact the Clerk (Stuart Bacon), or Blaby District Dog Wardens (0116 275 0555) to provide details of your animal fouling concerns.

Bus stops and shelters
There are a number of bus stops in Huncote, along Narborough Road and Main Street.

Car parks
There are two public car parks in Huncote. There is 30 minute, time retricted, car park at the back of the Spar, or alternatively there is parking available at the Pavillion for upto 6 hours, with no return within 3 hours.
Both facilities have limited disabled parking facilities.

Cemeteries
The Parish Council maintains Huncote Cemetery for the populus of Huncote and those that wish to be buried here.
Further information is available from the Clerk should you wish to prepare for a funeral or look for your ancestors who might be buried here.

Community centres
Huncote Community Centre is located to the right of Huncote Community Primary School on Denman Lane.

Community grants
Huncote Parish Council provides limited grants to community organisations each year. Applications must be submitted to the Clerk before December 1st for the following financial year.

Conservation areas
Croft hill is the nearest conservation area to Huncote with a nice walk up and around the hill to Croft.

Council land & property
Huncote Parish Council owns and is responsible for Denman Lane playing area, the sports field on Sportsfield Lane, Huncote Cemetery and the Penfold in the centre of Huncote.

Crime prevention
Your local Beat Officer is P.C. 936, “Chico” Vadhia, the P.C.S.O. is 6124 Katie Spencer and they can be contacted on 0116 222 2222. The Inspector in charge of Huncote (Blaby Local Police Unit) is Inspector Jonathan Brown who can also be contacted on the same number.

Dog litter bins
There are various dog litter bins in Huncote. Please use these to dispose of all foulings and not just dumping your bags somewhere nearby.

There are quite a number of public footpaths in/around Huncote for anyone to walk along and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

Parks and grounds maintenance
Huncote Parish Council employs a Handyman and a deputy Handyman to maintain the parks in Huncote.

All planning applications should be directed to Blaby District Council's Planning Department, who will then approach the Parish Council and appropriate surrounding neighbours for consultation on each proposal.

Playgrounds
The playground on Denman Lane provides a variety of equipment and a football pitch for everyone in Huncote. There iis also an area deignated for under-11's to play, with seats for parents to watch their children while they play.

Huncote Parish Council meets on the first Thursday of each month. Please check the Parish Council Notice Boards for details of the next meeting.

Sports and recreation facilities
A variety of sports facilities are available at the Pavillion on Sportsfield Lane.

Village greens
There is a village green in Huncote on the corner of Narborough Road and Denman Lane.
